Tea Leaves Reading is also known as Tasseography. Tasseography is also called tasseomancy, tasseography or teomancy. The name tasseomancy comes from the Arabic word ‘tassa’, meaning cup and the Greek word ‘mancy’ meaning divination.
Tea leaf reading is an ancient practice of interpreting patterns left by tea leaves in a cup. It uses symbols and the patterns formed by the residue of tea as a means of telling one’s fortune or future. Many believe tea reading originated in China and that present by tea leaf reading is thought to have originated in Asia, the Middle East and Ancient Greece.
